Born in Pieve di Soligo (Treviso) on october 10, 1921, Andrea Zanzotto is widely considered to be one of the most important Italian poets of the second half of the twentieth century. He explores human psychology and the link between nature and culture. Strongly committed in defending nature and landscape against pollution and wild urbanization as cultural deterioration.
